The Brovarna fashion event at Firepit showcases how innovative venues are redefining London’s fashion scene.
September 12th, 2026 saw the Brovarna fashion event light up social media, not just for its boundary-pushing designs but for its bold choice of venue: Firepit.
Let’s get this straight—this event was an absolute creative melting pot. We had fashion, photography, beauty, floral art, music, dance, and performance all thrown into the mix. If there’s one word that sums it up, it’s creativity—pure and simple. These industries didn’t just brush shoulders; they properly collided.
Picture the line-up: twelve models strutting their stuff, a team of photographers and videographers snapping away, makeup artists and hairstylists working their magic, and lighting wizards setting the mood—all made possible with support from Chris Cowan at Prolight Direct. As a partner of MARSE Academy, Prolight Direct is deeply invested in photography education and initiatives for young people entering the creative industries, making their contribution to the show all the more significant.
Kiara Worldwide Dance
And let’s not forget the dancers! Kiara Worldwide Dance also partnered with the event, with its director, Olga, on the MARSE Academy teaching team. Dance and movement are integral to fashion—think about how garments come alive on the runway and how ideas are expressed through performance. Their involvement felt like a natural extension of the show’s creative concept.
Now, as for the music, a special thank you goes to Mira Muse, who delivered her live performance that evening. Also part of the MARSE Academy teaching team, she added another creative discipline to the mix, reflecting the event’s core idea: bringing different areas of the creative industries together.
Marse Academy of Fashion & Arts
The mastermind behind this brilliant spectacle? MARSE Academy of Fashion & Arts, founded by the international fashion photographer and producer Julia Marse, alongside creative director Troy Elzahhar. They’ve always kept creative education at the heart of what they do.
And the name? “When Creativity Comes Together” couldn’t have been more spot on. The London venue was absolutely buzzing, and it certainly did not disappoint.
I managed to snag a quick chat with Marse herself. She shared that the academy’s approach is all about encouraging inquisitive minds—aged 15 and up—to dive in and see what sparks their interest, perhaps even setting them on a path towards a creative career. By witnessing these industries up close, they can get a real taste of what it’s like to work in these vibrant fields.
“The idea was to bring talented people from different creative fields together and create one show,” Julia Marse said. And, let me tell you, they nailed it!
Audiences want to feel something real, and event spaces have had to up their game, finding new ways to blend spectacle and substance so it sticks. Take churches, for example. Post-COVID, they became the venue du jour. Everyone loved the epic acoustics, those sky-high ceilings, and the light streaming through stained glass. That atmosphere draws a crowd, making churches a go-to for fashion shows with serious impact.
But as trends keep shifting, even these majestic spaces are giving way to unconventional venues that promise a fresher experience. And that brings me to Firepit—what a name! Its unique location near the O2 Arena, with sweeping views and easy tube access, offers a stylish, modern alternative and a welcome break from traditional venues.
The Brand
Liubov Brovarna’s story begins on the sweeping steppes of Kazakhstan, where the vast skies and fresh air sparked her creative spirit early on. Raised by artistic parents who encouraged her wild imagination, she started dreaming up her first collections before she even knew what the word ‘fashion’ meant. As she grew, Ukrainian traditions and the dreamy light of England blended into her world, inspiring a unique vision that’s equal parts poetry and artistry.
From this rich mix of influences, her fashion label took flight. Don’t let its newness fool you—Brovarna’s brand comes with a signature style that’s been quietly evolving for years, shaped by a lifetime of creative exploration.
A Treasure Trove Of Stories
Her collections are a treasure trove of stories—each material carries whispers of the past and the pulse of real life. With every new line and pattern, Brovarna reimagines history, giving it a fresh twist for today’s fashion lovers.
Did you know Brovarna trained in choreography? It shows. Her work isn’t just fashion—it’s movement, rhythm, and expression, all woven together. Every garment feels like a dance frozen in time, packed with her signature flair, emotion, and a touch of natural elegance.
Bravarna might be the new kid on the English fashion block, but it’s already making waves. Think: bold, sculptural silhouettes, hand-painted silks, and textures you’ll want to reach out and touch. Each piece is a limited-edition work of art, tailor-made for those who crave originality, skill, and a little poetry in their wardrobe.
Firepit
If you happen to find yourself wandering around Greenwich Peninsula, keep your eyes peeled for a spot that might just become your new favourite hangout: Firepit. Tucked at 10 Cutter Lane, right on the ground floor of Upper Riverside, this place is a little slice of creative heaven that’s as welcoming as your best friend’s living room (if your best friend happens to be surrounded by talented artists and a killer gift shop).
What makes Firepit so special? For starters, it’s an independent gallery and studio space where a diverse group of eleven artists—who collectively speak fifteen languages—work their magic full time. The best part? The gallery doors are always open, and there’s no entry fee. You can just walk in, no ticket required, and soak up the creativity.

Choice
But Firepit isn’t just about the art on the walls. There’s a bar where you can grab a drink, a coffee shop for your caffeine fix, a gift shop bursting with locally made art and handpicked treasures, and even a bookshop run by an indie publisher. And if you’re lucky, you might catch an event in their cosy firepit room, which feels more like a gathering of friends than a formal function.
Firepit is run as a Community Interest Company, so every penny made goes straight back into the space—no shareholders, no corporate nonsense. This isn’t just a nice idea; it’s built into how they do business. That’s why the gallery stays free and open to everyone.
Brovarna – Creative Space
Greenwich Peninsula is still finding its identity, and Firepit is right at the heart of that process. It’s proof that creative spaces don’t just pop up by accident—they happen when people come together to make them real. Next time you’re in the neighbourhood, swing by. You might leave with a new piece of art, a great book, or just a smile.
