The Foreboding: Fractured is an eclectic mix between fear and suspense. A captivating and nail-biting script leaves viewers on the edge of their seats

The Foreboding Fractured - Movie Review

The Foreboding: Fractured influences the audience’s passion for the horror genre.

Lighting, and time-sensitive deadlines, not to mention harsh weather conditions, are testimony to the dedication and commitment to a project that Alex Staunton-Hill wrote.

A talented writer, he brings together good old-fashioned horror notes, which are fused with an ensemble of young and, dare I say, fresh-faced actors. This, in turn, plays to effect as it fits perfectly as they portray University students.

A poster depicting the winner of best horror. The Foreboding: Fractured won in this category. Award from Pegasus Film awards.

Plot

Entering the woods for a simple camping trip, four university students find themselves hunted for reasons unknown. With their fates being intertwined in this place, how can they ever escape? Perspective is everything.

“The Foreboding: Fractured is an eclectic mix between fear and suspense. A captivating and nail-biting script leaves viewers on the edge of their seats”.

– Networking Magazine

The Foreboding: Fractured influences the audience’s passion for the horror genre. I say this because it flirts with a traditional cabin, lake, and Forest model. That said, the visuals offer thought-provoking depth that complements the eerie twists and turns this movie provides.

Twin Pinnacle, responsible for overseeing the background audio, adds another layer of emotion and intensity to the overall film experience. The visuals effortlessly moved between scenes, and this, significantly aided with sound features engaged the audience.

“The soundtrack adds another layer of emotion and intensity to the overall experience.”

– Networking Magazine

The visuals utilise natural elements like the cabin, forest, and campfire, and this, deliberate or not gives the feeling of a much larger budget.

The Foreboding: Fractured Cast

Peter Tilley plays Aaron, the class clown whose happy-go-lucky nature balances the group of four students. This is established early on and, at times, brings light comical notes, which is refreshing given the movie’s plot. Although a vital part of the production process, Peter is the producer of this movie and meets the strategic balance between acting and producing well.

Alex Staunton-Hill takes a hands-on role as he plays the character Connor. Although involved with screenwriting, his part was true to character. More reserved and level-headed, he stabilises the group and, to some extent, steers the audience’s direction.

“The dialogue is sharp and witty, adding humour and depth to the characters.”

The Networking Magazine.

Eve Kathryn Oliver is a very experienced and talented actress whose experience shows. Eve plays the part of Abigail and is a more serious character, often the voice of reason and Connor’s love interest.

As the plot of this movie twists and turns, Eve keeps the appetite for suspense alive for the audience throughout the film.

Olivia Bennett plays the witty, temperamental, and somewhat argumentative character of Lauren. Olivia has a BA Honours degree from Laine Theatre Arts from 2020 -2021, with further training at the Actors Studio in Pinewood Studios.

Playing the love interest of Aaron’s character, her background brings a sense of harmony to the group and offers a different synergy to this young group of university students.

“The performances of the actors are truly remarkable, bringing depth and authenticity to the characters.”

Networking Magazine

Critical Parts

Last but no means least, homage to the actor who plays a critical part in this film. Sienna Shih plays the role of Amy. Not placing any spoilers on the table, she brings a sense of terror to an otherwise suspenseful setting.

Sienna Shih is a Taiwanese British Australian actress with experience in stage, screen, and radio. It shows as she effortlessly depicts the character of Amy with finesse. Sienna cuts a figure of fear, and the background music works well within the depth of her role.

A solid acting dynamic is portrayed in the overall feel of this short film offering. Each actor brings something unique to Kemal’s directorial placement.

No film production can be successful without a crew, and Annabella Rich, Nikko Turner, Max Russell, and Miles McAllister collaborate with a pool of diverse skill sets to create on-screen magic.

Director

Kemal Yildirim is the Director, Editor, and Director Of Photography. His attention to detail and thirst to bring a scare factor to fruition deliver an edge to this short film.

“The film explores a horror theme with nuance and thought-provoking depth.” – The Networking Magazine.

Kemal is no stranger to this genre as he returns to the Horror-On-Sea Film Festival in 2024. His previous offering, the feature film ‘The Haunting Of The Lady Jane, premiered at the festival in January 2023 and was met with positive reception.

Given the movie’s time parameters, the cast’s ensemble provided an ambiance that sets well within the horror genre. For what it lacks in time, it makes up for in the storyline. We would award this movie the thumbs up but don’t take our word for it, as positive vibes are felt from across the board, including IMBD and the Horror Asylum.

We hope to see more from this dynamic cast and wish them every success for the future.

“The plot twists and turns keep viewers on the edge of their seats, never knowing what will happen next.” – The Networking Magazine.

Join us for a conversation with Alexander Staunton-Hill, Kemal Yildirim, and Peter Tilley to discuss their latest movie, “The Foreboding: Fractured.”

CHANGE IS COMING

When the human race faces challenges globally, should we embrace technological innovation or dismiss it?

There is a new shopping experience that embraces technology, and it’s the latest offering from Amazon. Customers have to accept that the traditional shopping experience has altered to reflect no staff interaction. From a personal perspective, I have to argue that retail ethics was once built on price, product and service. If one of those factors is replaced or removed, then this would impact the dynamic entirely.

Source – The Independent

Is service compromised?

Some may say that there is an argument for adjusting retail economies of scale, especially when lowering prices may be the key to sustainability. A lack of service can be frustrating when we need assistance; however, that isn’t reflective of how we feel at the pay point.

The so-called domino effect could be present across every sector that is responsive to adapt to this type of technology. Working from home, for example, has become a phenomenon that we, as a global society, has accepted, and I don’t think that a return to physical space will ever be the same.

Auotomisation.

Walking through supermarket aisles, placing products into your bag and then walking out would make anyone feel uncomfortable, but only because it doesn’t conform to the reality of shopping as we know it. It’s only a matter of time until we see this normality across an entire retail landscape, and we accept that change is upon us.

Source – Viral Press

AI Technology

Robots and AI complement this sector, and new shoots appear across social media this week that suggest the retail sector may have to accommodate other significant changes.

The use of AI (artificial intelligence) in this video demonstrates how shelves can be restocked using an employee remotely working from a different location. I, for one, hope that this technology will take many years to materialise. For now, these videos show us that someone is thinking about efficiency, and I believe that we can all agree that we must consider that there are advantages and disadvantages when promoting change.

A cashless society

Another trend that has impacted consumerism as a whole is how we pay for things using our mobile phones and cards. One of the most notable features of lockdowns was how products and services were purchased. Under normal circumstances, we would have made it a point to involve our love-hate relationship of withdrawing cash from a cash point. Sadly this didn’t happen as more and more retailers did away with their conventional minimum charge and opened up the door to feeling no shame with flouting that famous £5 minimum fee.

Source – CNBC

Using mobile phones doesn’t have the same feeling as paying physically for something, making us spend money more fluidly. This has impacted our shopping habits which draws a parallel from moving away from plastic the same way we distanced ourselves from using CDs.

Whichever way we look at it, the retail sector faces unprecedented changes, some of which will leave the more senior generations behind as technology gathers pace.

More than words.

Our want and need to introduce a blend of complementary services that would enhance an editorials exposure is high on a list of priorities.

There are two types of people, those who love to listen to and those who love to watch. That’s the motive behind having representation on both Spotify and YouTube.

YOUTUBE

There are occasions where we have little or no time to face a screen on conference call software; we want someone to speak for us. Podcasting has become a global phenomenon, especially with Covid – 19 impacting business.

Our contributing magazine editor had a stab at what it’s like to be in the driving seat of podcast production. The movement creates a very different marketing vehicle, beautifully curated on professional editing software and fused using 4K high-resolution backdrops; I think any business model would value these productions an effective editorial complement.

NEWBIE

A word that I think we can all relate to during these testing times, sit back and enjoy the podcast; remember, you can have your logo, portfolio and a more visual representation, something that other formats don’t offer. These productions are provided exclusively to our clients individually or as part of a package.

Subscribe to our YouTube Channel.

CLOSE YOUR EYES

Well, let’s face facts, some of us want to listen, and I have to admit that there are occasions where I’m multitasking, and watching isn’t on the menu. We record our podcasts so that they are also available in just an audio format. There are too many platforms on the podcasting landscape, so we decided to go with a brand that is user friendly and freely accessible. If you have the patience to listen to Shabnam’s voice again, close your eyes and listen.

We are so excited to bring something different to the arena, and our passion for design and all things beautiful is something that we are very proud of. Please don’t be shy; contact us to find out how we can complement your business with an editorial worthy of sharing.

Proud to be different.

We have started working on our third edition. There must be a beginning, a middle and an end. The third edition has started its life as a storyboard, fusing images and text which will change and evolve through its lifecycle.

We are introducing new technology and services to the magazine, which will bring added value to both featured editorials and audience.

There is a substitution of actual words for Latin text whilst the magazine content is created. Image placements such as social media icons and Spotify players are linked on the final run before the magazine activation as a live version. It helps us to form a storyboard and have a clearer picture of the format.

The most appealing and relevant images that reflect colour, design and creativity are selected to complement our editorials. Our flip magazine version’s contents page is interactive, and the text will flash to prompt interaction. Links and images will direct your potential clients to specific information, thus targeting your promotions and website.

When articles are approved, they are parked on our blog until the quarterly flip magazine production date and then transferred over so that you can enjoy representation in both formats. A paid SEO (search engine optimisation) specialist ensures that your editorial will receive the very best online exposure.

Scream!

There is nothing like having someone other than you showcasing your business model. Every owner wants coverage because it makes for effective sharing of content.

As our offering is two-fold with the blog and flip magazine format, there is added value, and when the two versions are fused, your editorial evolves into a unique form.

I want More!

Sometimes, a one size fits all approach doesn’t work. Double your feature by adding another two pages for a discounted price.

It’s ideal for clients who want to focus more on a portfolio and need extra space to showcase images.

Shout!

They are created using state of the art video production. In stunning 4k high resolution, we can include your logo, portfolio and contact details set as a backdrop to your Podcast. Unique and bespoke, they help your business stand out and act as a good reference point.

Our Vid-casts are unique, created in a production form shared directly from our youtube channel—a perfect highly visual tool used individually or as an editorial compliment.

I only want to advertise!

We offer a standard roomy quarter-page box advert for clients who want to advertise—professionally designed using paid image stock in 4k high definition with a maximum of 20 words. This option is currently only available on the flip magazine version.

A return to normality is the theme for this magazine cover. Work has started on the next edition. Magazines start their life with a storyboard, and our May edition is no exception.

This cover is more in line with the hospitality sector and suggests a return to normality. We are featuring business owners who value an editorial to map their journey. They will serve as a reference point and be a valuable tool to share across the social media landscape.

Coming Soon!

The proposed publishing date for the flip magazine format is May the 15th; however, any editorials generated between now and that date will feature in the blog format. We want to find out more about the people behind a business, so editorials will focus on the people behind it rather than conform to an advert.

Our next magazine is our third edition and so will feature new services such as our Vid-Casts. These are are a fusion between a podcast and a video production. Shared directly from our YouTube channel, they are a perfect editorial compliment. This edition will feature a curated selection of services to include; SEO optimised text, 4k high-resolution video footage, stand-alone Spotify podcasts, bespoke social media static adverts, which have QR codes.

The cut-off date for submitted articles is May the 1st. After this point, they feature on our blog version until the next available production date for the flip magazine. If you are considering an editorial on your business, use the contact page on this blog to have an informal and virtual meeting with one of our editors.

We will set up a virtual meeting at a time to suit and discuss your individual needs. The appointment will take approximately twenty-five minutes. If you decide to proceed, contact us to arrange an interview. The interview questions are based on the person or people behind your business model.

Our Vid-Casts are unique and offer a fusion between a podcast and video advertising.

A company that is very passionate about rebranding projects.

Every business owner needs to take a step back to take a helicopter view. One of the areas that tends to stay static is developing a brand. Now that we are on our third publication which will be out on the 15th of May, I wanted to focus on our image.

“Proud to be different”.

It didn’t take me very long to pick up the phone and speak to Pink Frog’s owner. Responsible for some of the most iconic branding in London, Lisa was the person to talk to. I wanted to share an insight into the process of rebranding since it’s such a relevant topic.

Iconic Branding

Pink Frog, say no more. A company that specialises in branding and rebranding projects. #pinkfrog #branding #rebranding #designer

♬ Summer Fling – Nina Nesbitt

Firstly, it’s fair to say that the concept of branding is not on the agenda for most people. There are a variety of reasons, but financial is a crucial factor. From my perspective, a logo must be complemented with colour tones that contrast.

Image

Owners need ideas and a base to choose from; rebranding is not something that happens, and then you forget about it. Google lead how there is a multitude of Logos and colours used on an everyday basis. When you speak to Li, you notice very quickly that she listens before she speaks, which I found refreshing since it’s usually the other way round. Her experience in the design sector becomes apparent as the process evolves. Twenty years in her industry impacts the process and forms guidance, something that is wanted and appreciated.

Each stage was very structured and managed; questions reflected the business’s vision, and I think that’s very different. The colour options chosen were from a selection that provided choice rather than too many options. At no point did I feel that I needed speed to take preference. The true benefit here, and I speak as an owner, was obtaining logos in various forms, from thumbnails to banners and formats to suit both websites and print and colour options that reflected the desired effect.

Meetings can be virtual and very informative; give some thought into the vision you want to obtain before your appointment as that is important to convey. I think Pink Frog is the perfect rebranding company with a strong and established brand that prides itself on obtaining results.

Vidcast; that’s what you get when you fuse a podcast and a video. The bolt-on-services people are talking about.

Having someone interview you about what you do and more to the point, how you do it is next to impossible. Given the pace at which we are practically speed networking, you are left with never really knowing exactly how effective it is. It be great to have a point of reference, there is nothing like an editorial, it’s worthy of sharing, provides a profile lift and generates interest.

Networking Magazine Vidcasts

Your website acts as a business tool to display information in a general way. Don’t get me wrong; there is a place for it. Targeting specific information is often difficult to do, besides there is little scope to push the people behind a business model.

The concept of a business community continuously sharing their articles provides a very high traffic environment that puts many businesses irrespective of sector, under a spotlight.

Our website works in tandem with the flip version of our magazine. As our magazine is quarterly, there must be a parking spot for pending articles queuing for placement in the next edition. This provides us with an opportunity to offer bolt-on services to complement your editorial.

Bolt-on Services

Vidcasts

Videography fused with podcasts are a new concept and is an excellent way to display logos, portfolios, highlighted text and, of course, showcase a voice.

If you are camera shy and hate your voice, don’t worry, it can be our voice talking about our experience with your business and still provide the desired effect.

Once the production is finished, we upload the final cut to form a podcast version for Spotify. It gives you double the optimisation and creates a following for your brand on two platforms.

It’s not what we do, it’s how we do it.
PODCASTS

As our concept evolves, we listened to our clients; they want Podcast updates to be placed onto their articles to keep their features both alive and current.

We want to promote style; we will embed a Spotify player onto your article and a magazine player onto our home screen. This will distance ourselves from boring pre-recorded conference call formats that you see on almost every social media platform.

QR CODES

We want your article to come to life; we will create a unique bespoke QR code for your business stationery & meetings to point to your feature. They can also be featured on your social media static adverts.

ADVERTISING SPACE

You can have space in key positions within our virtual magazine and website which will be backlinked to drive website traffic.
Service means everything to us so that you will have a dedicated person assigned to you. This will ensure that the editorial process is managed from infancy to completion.

The networking magazine is a unique concept that offers a viable advertising option aimed at small to medium-sized businesses. If we have your attention, contact one of our editors to find out how we can help you.

“We Can’t wait to write about you”.

Our second edition will be available on the 15th of February. Each page contains flashing image links, text links and video capture boxes, so readers get a very different interactive experience.

Use these links at your Zoom meetings, share your article across social media platforms and raise your business profile with a lush editorial. We created a website to work in harmony with our magazine’s flip version, so if you miss the article deadlines for the current edition, you can still feature. We believe that we have redefined the concept of networking. Our next edition will be available on the 15th of May 2021.

Something fresh for February.

The concept of producing high quality and extremely visible online quarterly publication has created quite a storm on the social media landscape. We are proud to say that it has outperformed expectation and has called for creating a blog.

For the upcoming edition, there will be in effect a parking space for articles waiting for the next flip magazine version. We are excited because we will also be rebranding, so some notable changes such as colours and logo will be noted.

We now have paid image stock, video stock, publication software, additional writers, and a new website is under construction. There are also plans to get help with editorials and SEO optimisation, which will help us be more visible online.

With around sixty-six pages in production, there are some new sections, and as we expand, these will accommodate the various featured businesses. We hope that you will enjoy reading our magazine as much as we enjoyed creating it. For more information about how we can help you, use the contact page on this blog.

We use conference call software for all our interviews, so it doesn’t matter whether you are based in the UK or internationally.
