This fashion show holds a special place in my heart as it signifies the first official event under the Saventures brand—an entirely self-funded endeavour. Alcindor has devoted countless hours, immense energy, and personal resources to ensuring that this showcase stands out in every way imaginable. The event proudly featured five dynamic fashion brands from London and Paris, each bringing their distinct story, aesthetic, and creative voice to the runway.

The fashion show took place at Victoria Hall in Harrow on Friday the 30th of May.
THE DESIGNER COLLECTIVE
Brand 1 – Karen’s Collection
A London-based designer, each piece is handmade, transforming a variety of fabrics into high fashion. The collection includes bold two-piece sets, detailed dresses, and outerwear that redefine fashion.

Born in the heart of Paris, this label transforms jerseys, denim, and cardigans into expressions of belief. Featuring graphics inspired by scripture, Gode aimed to find a unique way to share his faith while combining his passion for fashion.

An idea, in its essence, can often be likened to a dream—an elusive flicker of possibility, shimmering like a candle’s flame, waiting for the right moment to blaze into reality. Yet, for many, that spark is often shrouded by the murky shadows of fear, the weight of financial constraints, and the daunting uncertainty that looms over the journey ahead. These formidable challenges can deter even the most passionate and driven individuals from realising their entrepreneurial aspirations, particularly in a fiercely competitive fashion industry.
However, the narrative woven around the fashion world frequently emphasises the importance of seizing opportunities as they arise. What if, instead, you could take the bold step to become the architect of those opportunities? This profound realisation struck me when I had the privilege of meeting Savana.

At just twenty-two years old, Savana manifested a vibrant fashion show that brought together a diverse ensemble of designers under one roof, a tapestry of creativity and artistry. The event unfolded within the charming St. John’s Church community hall in Harrow, Middlesex—a quaint venue that provided an intimate and inviting backdrop for the evening’s festivities.
As I stepped through the welcoming doors, I was instantly swept up in an atmosphere buzzing with creativity and excitement, a palpable energy that hummed in the air. The clinking of glasses filled with carefully curated drinks, the aroma of delectable culinary offerings wafting from the catered spread, and the lively music that danced in the air set the perfect tone for the celebration, each element a testament to Savana’s vision and unwavering commitment.
Venue
As I wandered through the venue, it became clear that the staff embodied an infectious passion. The warm and cheerful smiles of the attendants at the entrance, the diligent centre management, and the uniformed caterers all worked harmoniously to ensure that every detail was executed to perfection, creating an ambience rich in professionalism and enthusiasm.

Blue lanyards adorned the necks of photographers and videographers, their focused gazes and poised cameras ready to capture the very essence of the evening. Their presence infused the gathering with a sense of urgency as they moved gracefully through the room, marking their territory.
What resonated with me the most was the striking diversity among the models who graced the runway, each one a reflection of our society’s rich tapestry. Together, they showcased the beauty of inclusivity and representation, an inspiring visual narrative that celebrated uniqueness. With over 100 guests in attendance, the venue thrived with an intimate vibrancy—a perfect setting for this celebration of fashion and creativity.

As the night unfolded, it became increasingly evident that Savana was not merely an event organiser; she was a visionary—an architect of doors that welcomed others into the domain of possibility. Her passion and tireless dedication radiated through every aspect of the show, leaving a memorable mark on all who were fortunate enough to attend.
